MEB Consulting offers implementation services that can be tailored for each client. Every successful implementation involves the following five services.
Business Process Reengineering
Having an approach to organizational change varies from client to client. In any case, business process reengineering (BPR) is part of this organizational change and can take on various degrees of change. In some cases BPR may involve radical change throughout an organization, and in other cases BPR can take the form of continuous improvement and incremental change.
As a starting point of an implementation, it is particularly important to clearly understand and document the current and future business processes of a company. Even though companies have conducted BPR before, it is recommended to continually review the process for efficiency improvements. This also provides a solid foundation for the implementation team to understand current business processes and for establishing future business processes to improve the company’s Return on Investment (ROI).
Technology and BPR must work hand-in-hand. Implementing technology alone will not always generate the results a company is looking for. If the technology being implemented supports a poor business process, the results will be dismal. Therefore, it is critical that prior to each implementation a through analysis of the current business processes is conducted. If business processes do need to be reengineered, this must be identified prior to implementation to ensure that the technology supports the new business processes.
The diagram below provides a summary of the focus areas around BPR.
MEB Consulting utilizes a structured methodology for conducting BPR that ranges from developing the vision and goals to identifying and measuring the processes that need to be changed. We work closely with our clients to ensure that the enhanced business processes are aligned with the strategic vision and that ROI goals are achieved.
