At MEB Consulting (MEBC), we know that data in and of itself is virtually useless. In order for data to be useful to your organization, it must be validated and carefully analyzed. We have a practice of deriving significant results from a wide array of data types; from spend analysis and sales history to vendor responses, MEBC will help you derive meaningful conclusions from your data…conclusions on which you will feel confident acting. Consider the following:
Does your organization know how to leverage the data it has available in order to identify process improvement opportunities?
Is your organization able to ensure that key supply chain performance and corporate objectives are met?
Does your organization need assistance in understanding, developing, and defining Key Performance Indicators?
MEBC offers a cost effective service that can address these needs, as well as many others.

Our client manages over one-fourth of the government's total procurement dollars. While facilitating adoption of a strategic sourcing process called the Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative (FSSI), the agency contracted MEBC to handle the data analysis components of the project. Initially, MEBC’s focus was to gather and validate data from the 10 million transactions completed in the first few months of the program. Subsequently, this data was transferred to knowledge through compiling reports on usage, performance and spending related to FSSI Services. Using analytical processes, MEBC identified and finally removed millions of dollars worth of inaccurate transactional data and worked through a process to ensure continual data accuracy. The complete and accurate data then served as the basis for all agency reporting, and through analysis of the data, MEBC made recommendations to the participating agencies for best practice adoption.
For a large municipal provider of electric power, MEBC was contracted to do an initial assessment of Supply Chain Management processes and identify opportunities for improvement. The assessment required a significant analysis of other supply chain and financial data housed within the client SAP Solution. Our analysis of supply chain data included:
Inventory requirements and performance analysis
Procurement spend analysis
Service level analysis
Once fully implemented, the result will be direct cost savings of $10.5M and inventory reduction of $4M.
