We use a Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model-based approach that leverages our knowledge of industry-specific best practices in the areas of: Demand Planning, Collaborative Planning, Constraint Based Inventory & Distribution Requirements Planning, Rough Cut Capacity Planning, Scheduling, and Transportation. Our Process Improvement activities cover processes, sub-processes, activities, user scripts, and scenarios.

Sample Qualifications

Our client, a large provider of logistics services to the US government, initiated a Distribution Planning Management System (DPMS) process designed to improve inbound and outbound freight management, as well as reverse logistics. Using a SCOR based methodology developed by the Supply Chain Council for process redesign, MEBC helped this client:

  • Improve in-transit visibility

  • Reduce freight and related distribution costs

  • Enable end-to-end supply chain capabilities

  • Improve service to customers

The results of process improvement included enhanced service to the military and a process that enables the client to negotiate more advantageous freight delivery terms, providing significant cost reductions.

A regulated utility company, our client needed to modernize their business processes, while replacing their legacy materials forecasting and planning tool with Manugistics v7.2. Tying corporate goals to business processes, and ultimately to configuration settings, provided the foundation for inventory and forecasting best practices.

Our client is a privately owned business with annual revenue of approximately $2.5B and distribution operations in ten states. During an expansionary phase, this client contracted MEBC to implement a Manugistics-enabled supply chain solution. In addition to the software integration, MEBC redesigned the client’s business processes to allow for improved customer service, and managed inventory levels. We helped our client achieve a cultural change by using a balanced scorecard methodology and engaging with all the stakeholders in the supply chain process.
